In 1985, liposuction surgery was revolutionized by Dr Jeffrey A. Klein, a Californian dermatologist who developed a technique known as tumescent liposuction. Liposuction has grown in popularity since its introduction in the 1970s.

Prior to the development of tumescent liposuction, patients often experienced difficulties with unnecessary bleeding and a rippled effect on the skin. Traditional liposuction is typically more painful and takes patients much longer to recover compared with tumescent liposuction.

Tumescent liposuction is a safe and gentle procedure that is less invasive than other techniques such as Smart Lipo and Vaser. This is because of equipment we use which are instruments called cannulas that are tiny, delicate straw-like tubes used to remove fat. This allows for very specific targeting of trouble areas of the body with exceptional precision to gently remove large and small fatty deposits. Consequently, this meticulous sculpting technique produces outstanding body contouring.

Tumescent liposuction can be used to target fatty deposits located in all areas of the body, including the arms, knees, inner and outer thighs, buttock, love handles, hips, abdomen, neck and face.
